In Cardinals, Castle and Queens, Mathew Morris looks at the archaeology of three of Leicestershire’s much loved parks, Abbey Park, Castle Hill Country Park and Bradgate Park. Ice Age hunters, medieval Knights Hospitallers and Tudor Queen’s and Cardinals, all have left there mark on the park landscape we enjoy today, and all thee parks have seen recent archaeological excavations investigating their history.
Mathew will also be giving talks on:
- Saturday 23 March – Archaeology after Richard III: Recent archaeological discoveries in Leicester.
