Festival of Leicestershire and Rutland Archaeology 2018
Saturday 30th June to Sunday 29th July
Take part in the UK’s largest archaeology festival and help Bring Our Past to Life! Although the Council for British Archaeology Festival nationally will take place during the last week of July the Leicestershire Archaeology Festival this year will have events over a four week period enabling people who are away for part of July to attend events.
In 2017 between Saturday 15th and Sunday 30th July over 80 events were held across Leicestershire and Rutland celebrating the rich and fascinating archaeological heritage of the two counties. The programme was packed with family friendly activities, guided walks, talks, displays and have-a-go events. There were displays, talks, family friendly events, have a go events and, of course, guided walks.
