The Leicestershire Fieldworkers’ AGM will be held on Thursday 20th September at 6pm in Lecture Theatre 2, George Davies Building, Centre for Medicine, University of Leicester (download Agenda + 7 papers below). The AGM will be followed by the September Lecture, at 7.30pm, on Excavations at Ebbsfleet, Kent, the possible location of Julius Caesar’s Invasion in 54BC. A buffet for members attending the AGM will be available from 5pm. Committee members will also be there. If you are a member and would like to come for the buffet it would be helpful if you could email email@example.com by 17th September to let us know in order to provide numbers to the University catering service.
You will note from the papers that we need to have a quorum of 20 members under the current constitution so we are strongly encouraging all who are interested in the Fieldworkers to attend. A new Constitution is being proposed and can be viewed at http://leicsfieldworkers.co.uk/committee/
All Committee members stand down at the AGM, 5 are standing for re-election. The Committee are therefore extremely keen to recruit additional members. If you have any questions about what being a committee member involves please email us and one of the committee will be pleased to contact you to talk about what this entails. Nomination papers are also available to download from the Fieldworker Committee page of the website at http://leicsfieldworkers.co.uk/committee/
