CBA Archaeology Day

On Sunday 13th May the CBA East Midlands will be holding a conference entitled ‘From Roman to Anglo-Saxon: the changing landscape of the East Midlands. It runs from 10.00am to 4.30 pm.  Cost is £20 for members, £25 for non-members.  It will be hald at The Venue, Grantham Road, Navenby, Lincoln, LN5 0JJ.  Please note this day rearranged from March as winter snow forced cancellation. Lectures are:

Pagan and Christian: signet rings and identity in late Roman Britain – Ian Marshman; Fieldwalking and Test-pitting; the Roman/Anglo-saxon transition in Bingham – Peter Allen; Experiencing the Early Medieval: learning from the past to enhance the present and improve the future – Emily Gillott: Looking in to the Dark: Romans to Saxons in Leicestershire – Peter Liddle; The Elusive Kingdom of Lindsey – Erik Grigg: Into the Heart of England: the Anglo-Saxon settlement of the Trent Valley – Kevin Leahy.
